Have you ever agonized over a decision because you’re terrified you’ll choose wrong? You research, weigh the pros and cons, ask everyone what they think, and still don’t feel certain. In this…
And so there's a, there's a nuance that I've learned recently, which is some decisions are the kind of decision that you kind of sit and have to think about.
You're like, okay, I'm going to sit down and figure out what to do about this and maybe it's whether or not you should make an investment in something or not, right? That's some decisions I've been making lately.
I'm like, should I invest in this or not? And whenever you're already in that space of like, I need to decide, right? that is already actually coming from fear because you're fearing that there's a wrong decision.
So you're fearing that if you make the investment and it doesn't work, that your life is going to be less good and you're going to be out some money.
So if you're in that state of like, oh, should I or shouldn't I, you're already coming from fear.
Like even me right now, I'm making decisions as to what words to say, what to speak, how to talk.
Like it's not something you have to be like, should I or shouldn't I do this? You already know you're going to do it or you're already doing it, right? It's automatic.
So what's the difference between the automatic decisions that you make every day versus the ones where you're like, I have to sit and think about this.
so the ones that are automatic are not from fear they're not you're not afraid of a bad consequence from making them you're just making them they feel right they feel normal they feel like the next obvious step but the decisions that you sit and have to think about those are already bringing up some fear for you because if you have to sit and think about it you're realizing oh there could be something They could make my life less good if I make the wrong decision, right? I could lose something.
There could be a consequence, right? So if you have ever experienced any of this, if you're resonating with this so far, in this episode, I want to kind of give you a framework for how to make decisions in a way where you can feel like you know that even if they don't feel great in the moment, they're going to align you with what you actually want in your life.
Like every decision is a vote for the life you want or the one you don't want.
And so we can actually set that up ahead of time so that when you make your decisions, you have a guiding direction.
