One of the interesting things that I've discovered is that there can be a barrier when we're asking for these gifts, sort of a barrier to creativity.

We'll ask for a million and have this much change versus asking for 5 million and being able to have this much change.

And sometimes I think as fundraisers, we can get a little nervous that we're asking for too much.

So what I think the psychological shift is that we need to do is to really think about dreaming big.

And that's part of what I've been working with faculty members as I train them.

People don't necessarily want to give an incremental gift, but if you can take them like the big idea, now that's exciting.

And that's what, for example, as a faculty member or a program officer, I'm You need to be able or program managers to be able to share that with your development team.

But part of that's having to nurture a culture of innovation, right? A culture of visioning and dreaming big.

And, you know, sometimes when we're in a space, we're worried about federal funding cuts or always having to try and do more with less.
