It started with one of the strangest dreams I’ve had in a long time. My mother-in-law, who has passed, was there decorating the house like she always did when she was alive. Everything felt…
I have a little bit of a crazy story that unfolded over the weekend, and, uh, yeah, just I feel like I need to share it here because it's like another puzzle piece in this giant puzzle that we call life, and I'm kinda hoping it helps someone else maybe piece something together for them.
I had the strangest dream the other night, and honestly, I almost completely forgot about it, which is my normal probably thing to do when I have dreams, especially strange ones.
I typically just dismiss them, and I'm like, "That's weird," [laughs] and I continue moving forward.
This was one of those dreams that felt incredibly vivid, very real, I will say that, extremely real.
And when I woke up in the morning, I grabbed my phone, started doing some things, and it just began to disappear, as I would say most dreams do for all of us.
But before I tell you how I remembered it, I wanna tell you what happened in the dream, 'cause it's, it's an important part of the story.
So in the dream, when it started, I was roughly, I think, like 18 to 20 years ago.
And I dunno if you guys can tell, like even as I think about it, I'm reminiscing of that, that timeline, that, that snapshot in, in life when everyone was still there.
I noticed that my kids were at the table, and they were coloring or doing something.
And then I noticed my mother-in-law, and she was decorating [laughs] Which, if you knew my mother-in-law, this probably would be, like, the least surprising part of the story because she was known to decorate.
I'm gonna say it was magical to witness and to be a part of and enjoy her decoration, but super exhausting as a mom that does not wanna decorate [laughs] like that in her own house.
