I'm Alex Jordox, and round 19 of the AFL season was a reasonably tight affair.

Only one game of the nine was decided by more than 28 points, and that was the Hawks beating up on the Tigers by 70.

We saw the Crows hold off the Swans in a tight finals-like clash on Friday night.

North had their chances in a 16-point loss to the Ds, and Gold Coast kicked inaccurately on their way to an eighth loss in a row, going down to the Bulldogs at home.

But the biggest upset, maybe of the season, was the final game of the round when GWS, despite having seven more scoring shots, went down to the Bombers at Marvel.

And this game to me was just everything I love about the unpredictability of our sport.

The Giants, who just weeks ago beat the all-conquering Dockers, couldn't get past the Bombers, who had won one game in their last 30.

Extraordinary.
