We spread, uh, we spend the money sourcing it and we photograph everything and we, we go to these marketplaces, but how much of our reselling business do we actually control anymore? It feels like you feel like you're losing a little bit of control or what do you think's going on there?
Hmm.
You know, I haven't really thought about it.
I don't know.
I'm sure you have some questions for us to kind of figure this out.
So let's move forward.
Well, in thinking of giving up some control, okay, because I do believe there is some level that we do have to give up.
And one of those is, are you perfectly happy with giving up control to eBay, letting them handle certain things in certain situations?
I mean, you've got to abide by their rules.
And, you know, it's no different than me having an antique booth in an antique mall.
You know, I can't sell outside the hours that they're open.
Right.
You know, I... know they have rules about what types of stuff you can you can have in your booths so i definitely think that you know no matter what you're doing in life you don't control everything now i do think that and you kind of touched on this think i control the vast majority of my business i mean i consider myself you know an independent business owner i'm not at just the whims of ebay or any of the other platforms i mean i control everything you know where i source what i end up buying how i price stuff you know there's um you You know, how much inventory I keep, as we talked about in the last episode, I think it was, you know, how long do I keep stuff listed? But yeah, I mean, ultimately, the main thing I think the marketplace controls is the access to the customer.
Right.
So really anything related to fraud or bad buyers, unpaid items.
I mean, there's not a lot I can do about that.
Any of the payment processing.
And a good example of that is I do like a combination sometime of payment processing on Facebook Marketplace.
In fact, had a buyer reach out to me today, said they, for whatever reason, can't pay through Facebook Marketplace.
In
that case, I was happy to do it.
because it's just like a one off.
