9 to 5 vs 5 to 9: Finding Meaning Beyond Your Work Title

Is your job successful — or does it actually feel meaningful? On this episode of Females Thriving Over 30, Jasmine and Soraya sit down with returning guest Urmi — a finance professional by day, self-published author, speaker, YouTuber and podcaster by night — to unpack what it really takes to build a career with purpose beyond a job title. Urmi shares the moment she realised a "successful" career (the promotions, the pay rises, the external validation) wasn't the same as a fulfilling one, why the hours between five and nine can matter as much as your nine-to-five, and how the Japanese concept of Ikigai helped her find meaning in the everyday. We talk through side hustles versus passion projects, building a personal brand on LinkedIn without burning out, the very real financial fears that keep women stuck in careers that no longer fit, and why — whatever your age — it's never too late to start over. If you're a woman in her 30s questioning your career path, feeling the pull of a passion project, or just trying to figure out what comes after "successful," this conversation is for you. Find Urmi's book, Discovering Your Identity: A Rebirth from Iteration of Struggle, on Amazon, and her podcast, Stories Beyond Borders, on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. FTO30 LIVE EVENT!
