Can you be completely certain at 8am that you're not drinking tonight? And by 5 p.m., be equally certain that one glass of wine sounds like an excellent idea.

If you've ever woken up in the morning and you've thought, that's it, I'm not drinking tonight, and you meant it, you really meant it, and then you watched that decision slowly unravel over the course of the day.

I wanna talk about what's actually happening here because I used to do this all the time.

I could feel completely clear about it in the morning, usually because it was wrapped with gift of shame and self-loathing that I was putting on myself.

And then somewhere around like 3.30 or 4 o'clock, the negotiations would start.

Lots of rationalizations as to why I should just be able to have just one glass.

And suddenly the decision... that felt completely obvious that morning didn't feel quite so obvious anymore.

So if you've been looking at this pattern that maybe you're seeing this in yourself and you're thinking, why do I keep doing this? Why can't I just stick to what I said? I can follow through on things in every single other area of my life.

Why is this so freaking difficult? I want to show you what's happening differently because your 8 a.m.
