As most people know, you're gonna get your annual leave paid out in your final paycheck, and that will bridge the gap for some people, but we've been seeing abnormally large delays in that initial pension payment, that annuity payment, that people simply are not r- ready for, and they're dipping into their TSP at alarming rates just trying to stay afloat because they didn't realize it would be three to six months before they saw a single penny.

Those words were spoken by James Campbell, fiduciary financial advisor and federal retirement consultant at FEBA.

He joined me on the show with a panel of experts from Serving Those Who Serve and DC SOFA to help new federal retirees make real-time decisions with real-time consequences.

Our guests are back to unpack the surprises, the regrets, and the opportunities that define the first years of federal retirement today on the Fed Thread podcast, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield Federal Employee Program.
