Vicky Losada, FC Barcelona: No one was going to stop us from winning

Now, there's so many things that we could explore with the kind of fantastic career and experience that you've had.

But one of the things that I'm really interested in is the fact that you've really kind of grown up and.

you know, your career has developed during a period of unbelievable change in the women's game.

So in order to sort of explore that and put that in context, I'd really love to go back a little bit to the beginnings of your professional career, if I may.

And just sort of ask you, you know, in 2006, when you started, I think, for Barcelona all that time ago, what was the sort of professional game like back then as a female player?

That was a long time ago, it makes me think.

Well, it wasn't professional, that's for sure.

That's why I left.

It was really difficult.

I mean, I don't know where to start from everything.

The times of training, the training round, no TV.

The situation was completely different.

Yeah.

OK. OK.

So and do you think sort of, I guess, back then, some of those experience and I guess almost a little bit of a humble beginnings, maybe versus where the game is now.

You know, do you think there was any experiences there or any games that really started, though, to build your identity as a player and who you became? Yeah.

Well, I started in the first team when I was only 15.

And I played for Barca Academy, which everybody knows with the name of La Masia.

But the girls weren't in La Masia.

So I grew up in that culture, Barca's culture.

But I moved to the first team really quick, so I had to learn really quick.

I was the youngest.

And we all played because we loved football.

So in a way it was easy because we were a group of friends.

And we all had the same objectives, which was to enjoy.
