Headlines Negotiating Committee Update After exchanging an updated opener with the company on September 9th, last week was the first time back at the table negotiating over the expanded list of priorities.
It was a busy week, with proposals exchanged on several open sections including Section 5 Lodging and Expenses, Section 9 Miscellaneous Flying, Section 15 Physical Examinations, Section 16 Crew Augmentation and International Operations, Section 18 Grievances, and Section 19 System Board of Adjustment.
The negotiating committee will spend the next several months opening additional sections while continuing to work through the sections already on the table.
The committee passes along their thanks to pilots who are displaying the new lanyards and bag tags.
The negotiating committee is meeting with the company again this week and will provide another update in next week's MEC News.
First, the election for ALPA National Executive Vice President Group A will occur during the ALPA Board of Directors meeting the week of October 26 in Chicago.
The two-year terms for the four MEC officer positions, Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer, begin January 1, 2027.
