The Negotiating Committee met with the company last week, exchanging proposals on eight sections of our pilot working agreement.
Those include Section 5, Lodging and Expenses, Section 8, Deadheading, Section 9, Miscellaneous Flying, Section 10, SLIs, LCPs, and LVPs, Section 16, Crew Augmentation and International Operations, Section 18, Grievances, Section 19, System Board of Adjustment, and Section 21, Furlough and Recall.
The negotiating committee reached agreement on two additional sections, section nine and 19.
Combined with the previously agreed upon section 15, that brings the total to three completed sections.
While these may not be the sections generating all the headlines, they contain important contractual protections.
As the committee finishes these more administrative portions of the agreement, attention will shift toward provisions directly affecting pilots' day-to-day lives, and that progress will require meaningful engagement from management.
This week also marks the introduction of a new resource called Negotiations at a Glance.
