Elite City AEW Podcast - Weekly Wrestling Talk
Sep 10, 2026 · 11 min · 5 segments
It's been a tough week for wrestling fans, but AEW put together the episode we all needed right now.
The week started, of course, with the horrible news that Andy Williams, known as The Butcher in AEW, died suddenly and unexpectedly after wrestling at an Enjoy show in Penn- Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh.
Now, I'm not the q- most qualified member of our podcast to talk about him or the situation, of course.
Um, but I'm the only one who's here.
Our podcast obviously has connections to Pittsburgh and to Pennsylvania and, uh, you know, to Enjoy.
Um, members of the podcast, you know, have been to Enjoy shows in the past.
Um, we also, you know, have connections to metalcore and heavier music that, you know, Andy Williams did with, with Every Time I Die.
Um, but unfortunately, those, um, they're not available right now to talk about this.
Um, so I'm gonna try to do them some justice when I, when I talk now as well as trying to do, uh, The Butcher some justice.
It was incredibly shocking to hear, obviously.
You know, Sunday morning is when I heard about it.
I, I didn't believe it at first.
You know, I thought it was an internet rumor or a scam or, you know, one of those images that the scammers make online.
Um, I didn't believe it, but it was, it was true.
Um, he, he unfortunately, you know, passed away.
Uh, 48 years old, that's, that's so young.
It's far too young to die.
It's far too young to have, you know, your life end like that.
Um, it was so unexpected.
I was shocked.
I'm still, you know, s- shocked at how it happened and that it happened, um.
I never interacted with him or his band.
Um, but from everything I've heard about him and everyone else, what everyone else has said about him, you know, he was a great guy.
He a lot of-- brought a lot of happiness and light to the world.
Um, his, his music, his wrestling.
