On part one of the Halloween Spooktacular, we found our party.
Sir Owen the Stalwart, played by Sam, Ingimar, Sage of the West, played by Seth, and their third companion, Lenny Biloxi, a vampire hunter.
that was previously played by Josh.
We picked up right after the events of our spooktacular 2022, with the party standing outside of the now-collapsed Turn Manor, after freeing the home from a devil named Morgoth.
The party, along with their new companion, Blackbeat, find their horses and cart, and check their map, and continue on their mission north, towards a town called Mossy Glen.
While traveling on the road, their companion, Lenny, wordlessly stands up and exits the back of the cart and begins walking out into the woods.
Sir Owen follows quickly after, with Ingimar coming up behind him, casting detect magic.
Lenny eventually disappears into the dark woods.
After a quick search, they find Lenny, face down in the forest, dead, with his throat cut.
There's a strange symbol carved into the tree.
As they go to move Lenny's body, his head snaps around, staring at the strange symbol.
They make it back to the cart to find a stranger.
Rocktar, played by Alan.
A half-orc who's headed north to the town of Mossy Glen, searching for Prince Theo.
He's out on a hunt.
He gives little more information, but the party agrees to give him a ride into Mossy Glen.
As they arrive in Mossy Glen, they find the town stuck in a constant sunrise, the sun hovering just below the horizon, casting a strange orange glow on the town, and they head to the Warm Lantern Inn.
Inside the Warm Lantern Inn, Sir Owen asks the barkeep, Iris, if there's a cleric nearby.
A priest in the corner of the tavern, Ezra, overhears and introduces himself.
Owen explains that their friend was killed on the road and there's some sort of strange magic involving a symbol carved into a tree.
Ezra heads outside with the party and takes a look at Lenny's body.
He initially says that he doesn't know anything about the symbol.
With some sharp intuition, the party notices that he's lying.
He invites the party inside to talk with his companion, a nun named Sarah.
He confirms to Ingimar that nothing can be done to save Lenny and Ingimar, using his two short swords, deftly decapitates Lenny where he sits in the cart.
