The Tangentially Hip - You See Details

We are pulling out one of the ultimate holy grails in the entire bootleg trading community.

We're spinning an unreleased original that famously sat at track 11 on the legendary compilation Ultimate Rarities, the brilliant, elusive UC Details.

Now, if you were deep in the tape swapping trenches during the 1990s, this is a track that carried absolute mythical status.

Written during the early 1990s, UC Details captures the band right as their signature driving rock groove was solidifying into something world-class.

Eagle-eyed fans will instantly recognize the blueprint here.

Gore Downie took the framework, lyrics, and ideas from UC Details and eventually transformed them into Bumblebee, the legendary Phantom Power outtake.

It gives you a front row seat to Gord's creative process as a lyricist, watching how a raw idea evolved over the years before finding its home.

From the Ultimate Rarities bootleg, here is UC Details.
