Gary, we like to start each episode, if there was only one, and I'm sure there'll be at least a few, but if there were only one piece of actionable advice you might look to leave the listeners with today, what might that be?

The longer answer that is in my life, in my career, most of the choices that I've made that had been hugely impactful, both on my career growth and on my awareness and understanding kind of how to get things done and move up in an organization have been taking a risk.

doing something that I didn't think or didn't know that I could do and just understood that if you work at it well enough and if you try hard enough, you can figure it out and you can accomplish really great things.

I always approach the biggest problem and the biggest problem people ask me to go and solve, I almost always said yes.

Took me a couple of years to get there, but I almost always said yes and for the last 30 something years, that's worked out incredibly well.

It means a lot of work and really long hours, but it means you get to connect a whole lot of dots that not everybody does.

And it hits me, you know, even just recently, there was a CIO I knew from out West.

He's a like old friend and we've collaborated on some stuff before, but works for this really large, I don't even see the industry, like kind of retail ish company.

We want to like start doing more like AI and automation in our accounting function.
