Aug 30, 2026 · 1 hr 34 min · 17 segments
Last week, Taelor told us her story for the first time. It was heavy. It was raw. And we promised we wouldn't leave it there. She's back. This week isn't about what happened to her. It's about…
I am so introverted but you would never know right now, but I'm like the extroverted introvert, and I would go out and say
about myself, I'm an introvert.
Yeah.
But you get to that level where you're like, I'm really uncomfortable and when I was at that uncomfortable point, instead of just being myself or weird or goofy or anything that made me different.
I drank alcohol and I called it my extrovert juice so I could just keep up with everyone, right? And that in a way was also running from yourself because I didn't feel super comfortable with where I was.
So managing your life, your patterns, like adding healthy alternatives to things, coming up, you know, therapy, health routines, you probably developed some kind of chronic illness from this, especially if you were like me in childhood, like how am I going to help manage that part of things? Building a new circle that's supportive.
Finding survivor spaces like this.
Listening to these conversations.
All of that stuff is part of the managing your life moving forward.
Well, so here's an important thing for us to touch on.
And who better to speak on it than you? There's going to be people that are going to be listening to this who have turmoil with their families.
And as we record this, we're in August.
But the holidays are coming up.
And there's always those things of like, hey, you know, the Hallmark thing.
christmas carols and fucking eggnog and all that other shit that's coming up
what do
you say to those people who are like hey i'm no contact with my family and i'm struggling through this and you know i want i want the family but it's just not in the cards for me like what do you say to those people
I say that I have also spent holidays completely alone.
I have, I had about two years in my life where I was physically alone, didn't have friends and have anything where I cut almost everyone off.
Cause you know, toxicity kind of sticks around and that happens in friend patterns and stuff that you realize we're stuck.
Right.
And
so I, I kind of had this emptiness and I had to, again, that's when building that relationship with yourself is so important.
Because then you can be like, I can do whatever the fuck I want.
And I don't got to worry about this person or this person or this person and all that fucking toxicity.
