How long had you been working in the industry and sort of what got you into mining to start with?

Got my job through how a lot of people get their jobs in the industry, through family, through connections.

And, yeah, so when the whole Pike incident happened, I'd probably not quite had three years' experience.

yeah yeah pretty much thrown into it thrown in thrown in the deep end and like single swim type scenario and it was just learn as you go um you know like it's a had its challenges it was a bit of a bit of a wake-up call but i i still remember the first time i ever went underground just for a look um as as as fresh as can be i might have been on site maybe a couple of days if that um the first time i went underground and It's not for everybody, but I was fascinated by it.

It may sound strange to some people, like the feeling, the smells, like the sights.
