Sep 22, 2026 · 23 min · 10 segments
Last episode we named the thing that's actually been holding you back — leading with every reason a plan won't work before you've given it a single reason it could. This week, Maddie and Meghan hand…
So today what we were talking about, this is actually a part two episode.
So if you did not listen to part one from last week, where we talked about the number one reason why you're not moving ahead with your finances, go take a listen to that.
We will link it in the show notes for you.
Because Maddie and I talk deeply about really the thing that's holding you back.
And really it's listing every single reason why a plan or an action is not going to work.
until you give it a single reason that it could.
So today, we are going through our five pillars again, which if you didn't listen to last week's episode, I'll remind you, they are income, budget, invest, save, and debt.
We are going to go through those five again today.
And we're going to give you different actions and the way that you can think about them differently as far as like, yes, I can make this work rather than leading with, no, this is not going to work.
And again, this is a little bit, I don't know, I was going to say woo-woo-y, Maddie, like because it's a little bit psychic, but it's not woo-woo-y, I guess.
Woo-woo-y? Yeah, I don't know.
That's the first thing that came to
my mind.
Maybe I need more coffee.
I don't know.
But like just like a little bit more psychological, but But Maddie and I talked a lot about why people might think the no first.
And yeah, so we want you to say, yes, this can work to be able to make a step forward with your finances.
Yeah, exactly.
And kind of just how Megan was saying, if something pops up and you immediately turn to all the reasons why it won't work.
I want you to stop that behavior and instead...
Just stop it.
Just stop.
Cut it out.
Just like I stopped saying hi to people out car windows.
Just never again.
