Then I saw her every day at home, on the weekends, all throughout the summer.
And I think because I was one of the nephews nieces who was close by we had a really close connection but also just the way she was with me I remember vividly six seven eight years old it's summer and we lived far out in rural Alabama and it's just beautiful and green everywhere in the evenings I would be running around barefoot because I couldn't wait to do that in the summer chasing dragonflies or butterflies or whatever it's like Mimosa trees and bamboo everywhere.
The sun is setting and she'd call me onto the porch and have me sit between her legs and she'd clean out my ears with a bobby pin because I had so much wax.
running around like a maniac and then I would just sit there and be completely calm.
