How Phylicia Went From Getting Friend Zoned To Men Lining Up To Pursue Her

Welcome back to the date with sense podcast.

I am back and settled.

The last time we talked, I was kicking off the enrollment for curve to cuff and we had 40, no 54 ladies sign up to curve to cuff.

It was an amazing launch.

We have so many incredible women So I'm excited about that.

And then also after the launch, I went and took vacation to New York, met up with some clients and also attended some of the pre-events for like the U.S. Open.

So I spent some time in New York hanging out, enjoying myself before I come back to work.

And in New York, I actually met in person finally.

She's one of my private clients and she was featured as Nala.

And well, she's currently featuring as Nala in the Lion King production in New York.

And so she asked me if I could make it, left me tickets up front for me to go.

And it was just incredible.

Not like the show was amazing, but I cried throughout the whole show.

But just being able to watch this woman on stage and do her thing.

I just need you to listen to the episode because it just comes full circle for me watching her on stage.

And you are probably familiar with her because she also played young Celia in The Color Purple.

She's an incredible actress, fun of personality.

And I'm just really, really honored that I got the opportunity to coach her and also to have her on this podcast episode.

I remember her coming to me when she booked the sales call.

She was like, Tora, I listened to your podcast.

And after working with you, I want to be asked on a podcast.

I want to be one of those women.

And Lo and behold, she is one of those women.

She's been one of my most challenging yet rewarding clients, has helped me become a better coach.

And it's been such a pleasure to watch her go from not really dating, not meeting men, not feeling like she was good enough, worthy enough to...

I tell her all the time, I'm like, girl, you went from Celie to Suge Avery because like the woman that you are now, like you feel like a ball of fire.

You feel like a woman who is completely in charge of her life and can pretty much have what she wants, including the man that she wants.

So I'm excited about this episode and the full circle moment that we have here.
