well we on the last podcast last week we had a conversation about cost and being what is that word um mindful i don't think that's the word i was looking for but um how we've had we do this pretty much in every presentation we um We've also, as far as like this podcast isn't about billing, but it is because we, but it is a conversation we've had numerous times.
Like should we give itemized statements or should we just give room totals? A lot of designers just give room totals because it gives you.
Maybe there's a piece that's not available or sometimes, you know, things just happen in the middle of ordering, procurement, all of that.
Not to mention, like, I just did a proposal and if I wouldn't have had it by room, it would have been like 20 pages.
then the client gets bogged down with... well i don't know why this book costs this much but this book costs you know like the accessory ones can be also overwhelming and um and at the end of the day It's a service and all of it's
So honestly, as far as accessories goes, if people would give a budget, that would be so much easier because then you could design the space... knowing the number in mind and then it would be complete a lot of times you go and accessorize a bookshelf they see the total number and then they want to start subtracting and then i'm like but now it's not finished so now what do you do but um but no
sometimes it's hard for people to because they don't really don't know what what to expect what to expect what things cost these days what uh... you know nine times out of ten When the people say they don't know these things.
