The winning goal scored late in the third period by Leon Dreisaitl, who was the Oilers' best skater on the evening.

Some people, including me, thought that Tristan Jari might be the starting goaltender tonight after, uh, frankly, Devin Levi struggled in game two against the Canucks, but Levi was in tonight and was great.

Um, particularly in the third period where they really faced a hard push from Seattle.

So Dreisaitl and Levi led the way tonight in a Edmonton Oilers victory over the Seattle Kraken.

It was a welcome result and a welcome brand of hockey after two high scoring tilts against Vancouver.

The Oilers really locked things down for the most part defensively, except for one pretty furious flurry by Seattle.

They weren't the offensive superpower that we saw in the first two games, but they scored enough to win.

In fact, It looked at one point as if the power play may cost the Oilers a game as opposed to winning them one.

But come the third period, big save by Devin Levi off Jordan Eberle, who had an open net to put it into, but a quick, a hard pushover and a quick love from Levi denied him.

It was a, it was a dump in shot by Ryan Shea, deflected off Connor McDavid on the wall, right out front, and Leon Dreisaitl who was dominant on the night, but didn't have a whole lot to show for it before now, didn't miss on this one.

Popped the puck out to Vasilipad Golzin, who had positioned himself perfectly in the defensive zone.
