If you don't have the time, the energy, or the competence in a gym to lift right now, that's okay.
It's a complementary tool, and it only works when it's added in appropriately on top of a training life that's already built around running.
On the other side of that same coin, if you have other goals beyond running performance, general strength, building muscle, aesthetics, whatever it is, that's great too.
Chasing those goals at real weightlifting volume means accepting some trade-off in running performance.
It's just a different set of priorities, and you should be at peace with that trade-off rather than expecting to have it all.
