Crossing the Line: Detained in Mexico
May 20, 2026 · 39 min · 10 segments
Becky and Randi tell the story of the first time we visited Todd in prison. This episode was recorded over the internet on May 20th, 2026. The show is edited by Becky's daughter, Robin Applegate.
... jump into that, Becky, do you wanna give us a quick update on where things currently stand today, Tuesday, May 19th?
I told you, we told you already, Todd had that hearing about 10 days ago, and we found out just this weekend that, um, the attorney has filed an appeal to the results of that hearing.
He sounds like he's doing fine physically, but he is, you know, super frustrated and discouraged about still being in there.
I mean, it's just, it's just so frustrating because feel like we can't even get real answers from the attorney or anyone for that matter, but we're just trying to figure it out.
And, and speaking of adapting, like, we've, um, got a brother-in-law/husband that is figuring out how to look things up on the court dockets and on the court records so we actually can get confirmation about when things were filed and that they were filed.
So that's encouraging to me, to be able to actually get some concrete evidence that things are moving.
It's frustrating 'cause we, we don't have any clarity, right? And everything moves so slow.
