So, Elizabeth, you've now had more time to engage in these creative activities.
How are you getting on?
Well, as we talked about last week, the implementation of structure into my practising has helped me enjoy the process a lot more, which is a relief, I must say, because the first few days were overwhelming, but now things... are a lot more straightforward and I'm able to settle into enjoying it a lot more.
Fantastic.
That's really good to hear.
And as well, I've been making a conscious effort to ignore my inner critic.
Oh, well done.
I need some tips.
Now, I won't say that it's been fully successful.
I won't say I do it all the time.
But when I hear the little voice saying, don't put those two colours together, just say, shut up.
fantastic
crack on as best i can
oh that's great would you feel comfortable in maybe sharing any of what you've been doing
yes certainly um so it's mostly drawings um it's specifically drawings of flowers which i found is something i'm i'm not terrible at so i've been sticking with that because that's what makes it enjoyable And then I add in maybe just a little bit of text about how I'm feeling at that given moment or just an experience I might have had in that day.
Are you using reference material to kind of copy flowers? Are you doing imaginative flowers? Have you made up your own variety?
It's...
If you take a look at it, you maybe wouldn't recognise what flowers they were, but it generally is working from nature.
So particularly when I'm out and about, because we are in the wonderful springtime now, there's a lot you can take examples from, particularly daffodils.
Yes.
And pansies as well, which I really love.
So...
Yeah, I've enjoyed that part a lot.
What I am finding is that the text is quite negative.
It's quite unhappy in contrast to the drawings.
