Are they? She's probably been to some of these places and just didn't recognize them because they were so new looking versus now they're probably kind of shabby.

You know what? I don't remember the actual locations off the top of my head, but there's like a World Trade Center in Fort Worth that had just opened in 76.

There's some California scenes in here, but most of those big office park looking things were shot in Texas.

I'd be fascinated if she's actually been to any of these locations and just didn't recognize them because she's like, oh yeah, now they're all shabby and changed and modified and all of that.

Because yeah, what I looked at, it was like, oh, they thought what's now the past would be the future.
For the establishing shot of everything, long, slow, languid pans over, very clearly a model and not even a well-made model, this movie exists in a superposition where there are moments that you can give yourself all the way over, and then you will be slapped right back to reality, and it'll look like a community theater production.
In fact, I jotted it down because I was like, does carousel have two R's? Like, is that a different name for a thing? Searched all over the place.
