The Submissive's Role in Building a Femdom Dynamic

My husband and I are currently in a transition period trying to build a stable low protocol 24-7 dynamic.

Sometimes it works well and sometimes it feels like we are finding our rhythm still.

My question is about the submissive's mindset and role in this process.

I understand that the dominant leads, but does the dominant always need to be the one actively holding and maintaining the dynamic in every situation? If the dominant is struggling, tired, or still learning how to lead more consistently, how can the submissive support the dynamic without taking over or stepping out of his submissive role? What is the right mindset for a submissive in a low protocol dynamic? Is it simply about following when the dominant leads or is there a way for the submissive to help co-create and strengthen the dynamic? I'd love to understand what healthy support from the submissive side looks like, especially during the early stage of building a more stable 24-7 dynamic.

So anyone been there before? Great question, right? Anyone been there before building a dynamic? And you're wondering, like, how much is on my shoulders to get right? And how much is on my submissive shoulders to get right here? You know, what do the roles look like? What does the contribution look like as we're building the dynamic? Well, I am so glad you asked.

So first off, first off, and forgive me if I am a little delayed on answering the chat.

I'm actually going to stay up in the Ask Ms. L channel for a moment because I want to address a number of points.

So the first one, the submissives mindset and role.

Does the dominant always need to be the one actively holding and maintaining the dynamic in every situation? If you want a DOM sub dynamic, those roles need to be active.

to have a dom sub dynamic.

So if you're saying that you want low protocol 24 seven, then technically, yes, you will need to be in some sort of dominant space, dominant container.

That doesn't mean exhaustion.

It doesn't mean burnout.

It doesn't mean you can never rest, but yes, the dominant holds the container.

The dominant creates the structure.

Now, that to me is very different than, quote, maintaining the dynamic in every situation.

maintaining the dynamic in every situation, I believe, my personal advice, y'all can correct me if you disagree, but my take, maintaining the dynamic in every situation, that's collaborative.

That should, the burden of maintaining the dynamic should not solely be on either partner's shoulders because then you create codependency.

Because codependency is working harder on the problem, harder on someone else's problem, harder on whatever the issue is than the other person is willing to work.

So if one partner is saying, no, I can check out and you do all the work and then the the active partner takes that role on, that's a very codependent role.

That's not a dominant role.

So, no, there is a difference between leading, maintaining the container, holding the structure, and maintaining the dynamic in every situation.
