Now, when we talk about building a team and leadership, a big question that comes to me is, What does great leadership look like now and into the future? And in reality, there are many ways to define great leadership.

And the first point I want to bring up is this idea that so many people compare and contrast the difference between leader and manager.

And I would say a great leader can embrace both roles, one not being better than the other, and for a great leader to be well-versed in both leadership and management.

So for a great leader to be effective, it's not choosing one or the other, leadership or management.

So leadership and management is equally important as we build our effectiveness in leadership.

second part about what makes a great leader now and into the future second point i want to bring up is this idea of society and the pace of change we are experiencing and it is true because life is moving at a faster pace it's becoming more complex more sophisticated and a and as a result more overwhelming now With that said, with all this overwhelm around us, the best leaders promote this sense of psychological safety where they say to themselves and to others, it's okay to be okay.

And with that said, the most effective leaders promote this sense of psychological wellbeing.

And when it comes to setting up that foundation, there are three pillars to psychological wellbeing.

Now, when we talk about the first pillar, mental health, it is what we traditionally assign to emotional and psychological wellbeing.

It's those moments to slow down, Now, in a personal sense, it's taking some time to motivate, taking a brisk walk to relax, and spending time with others to really promote that sense of well-being.

And in business, what that mental health looks like, it's checking in with our team members, not in the sense of checking in for... project status or updates.

It's really checking in with our team members to say, hey, Jasper, how are you today? How are you feeling? How's the family? How are your pets? It's really getting that deeper communication into place.

And in a personal sense, that's continuing to learn audio books, regular books, tutorials, YouTube, you name it.

And in business, It's giving our team members the opportunity to continue training and learning, providing them those new perspectives and knowledge.

You can bring guest speakers into your workplace, or you can find other ways such as tutorials or other resources that can help your team members continue to learn in their role.
