In this episode of CONNECT with Jonathan Mark, I sit down with Kathy, the sister of Jamey Eugene Holyoak, as we work through a deeply personal and ongoing missing-person case. During this reading…
[sighs] It's an interesting thing he keeps showing to me is the map, and he keeps putting to me a walking path, but also, like, when you see walking paths, how things veer off, and he keeps also showing to me, too... 'Cause the thing he keeps, like, bringing up to me and he's smiling and laughing about is the location, location, location is what he keeps saying to me.
Do you know, like, when people find someone and all their personal belongings are, like, somewhere else kind of? It's kinda like if it's left in a house, in a cabin, or somewhere else, 'cause he keeps tapping his pockets to me, and he keeps saying as if, "Why would he leave somewhere without personal belongings on him?" is what he keeps saying.
Like, why wouldn't he bring a wallet and s- stuff with him just for whatever reason? 'Cause that's what he keeps showing to me.
Mm-hmm
Yes.
I'm not saying he was, he was wearing a flannel per se, but he's talking to me about the importance of clothes, not like us wearing them, but, like, in this particular situation, like the importance of his clothes.
Not that he was stripped of his clothes or anything, but he keeps folding his clothes in front of me, showing to me it's like if he's one place, why is something else another, like his clothes.
He's also sharing with me that the people that think that it was self-inflicted or whatever you wanna call it, like, he keeps shaking his head, and he keeps saying to me like there's no way that based on everything leading up to it, not even so much with the incident that happened, but leading up, there's no way it could be self-inflicted is what he keeps saying to me, and he's also sharing that he wasn't in that state of mind to begin with.
He's also saying that, and he's smiling, that he's happy that this case is being now officially taken more seriously because he's put... he's poking holes.
Like, there's obviously holes in everything, holes in cases, holes in everything, but he's saying it's being more and more e- exposed at this point, like there are holes in this.
