Boeing and the engine manufacturer, CFM International, each issued statements expressing concern for the people on board.
Boeing said it was assisting the investigation led by Macedonian authorities and, quote, "Our thoughts are with the passengers and crew of Flight 1879.
We remain in contact with and continue to support our customer, Ryanair." CFM said, "Safety is our top priority.
Quote, "A flight to Memmingen on Friday morning returned to Thessaloniki shortly after takeoff when a passenger window dislodged in flight.
One passenger requested and received medical assistance on the ground in Thessaloniki.
In order to minimize any delay, a replacement aircraft was arranged to bring passengers to Memmingen, which departed Thessaloniki this morning." End quote.
