So it has been very interesting to see what the house looks like when we first walk in versus what it looks like after we've unpacked our stuff or lived in it a little bit.
And there have been some places that have been easier than others to navigate.
So it's almost been like this really interesting experiment of like what it is like to live with like varying levels of clutter along the way.

hooks um places for shoes etc but one of our airbnbs was so cluttered like when we first walked in it was very very artistic and it was interesting but there was so much stuff everywhere that like anytime we set our things down i worried that we would accidentally like leave something somewhere because it was just like buried in the clutter and I'm gonna call it clutter because it felt like clutter to us I'm sure the owner felt like it was art and like really important things but like when you're a guest in someone else's house and there's nowhere to set your stuff it can feel like you're getting almost like swallowed by their items they're everywhere and it's a bit overstimulating like visually overstimulating and can be kind of hard to keep track of your things so that has been interesting that was something i never really expected when we started the journey like to to think about clutter along the way i i sort of thought like oh well we're just traveling so clutter isn't really going to be an issue because we're living pretty much living out of backpacks we don't have that much stuff with us But we are in different environments.
And the easiest environments have definitely been the ones that had the least items from the start.
And then we add our items and it's easier to keep track of things.
So it was just like this opportunity to reinforce why decluttering matters, why minimalism matters, why...
All of the things that I talk about as far as like not being someone who like accumulates for the sake of accumulating.
