In this week's episode I talk all abut Golden Day. Saturday October 24, 2026. The First Day of early Voting. The Last day to register to vote. The last day to have a vote by mail ballot sent to you…
I put some things up on my social feeds today, just some helpful reminders that if you've requested a mail ballot and haven't got a mail ballot, how we can go ahead and get a second ballot to you, what are your options as we're getting down to the last few days of the election here.
That's a day that is reserved and done by the League of Women Voters and a lot of other advocate states.
And while they're not volunteers, they get paid, but they might as well be volunteers.
The Clay Republican mailer that's been in the news last couple days and is going to continue to be in the news.
This is a place where a piece of mail was sent out by the Clay Republican Committee on the outer envelope.
It said it was from the Board of Elections, the Onondaga County Board of Elections.
I will tell you that I immediately, on Monday, after learning about it over the weekend, but also receiving some pieces of mail that were returned to the board on Monday, filed a complaint with the New York State Board of Elections as well as the New York State Attorney General.
Let me reassure you and the public that the Board of Elections will never send out a letter with partisan pieces inside of it urging you to vote for one candidate or another or urging you to vote for any issue over another.
And the only time we will mail something to you is if it's official election mail, such as our mail check card, an acknowledgement card if you change your address.
Or we will mail you an absentee or vote-by-mail ballot request, but only if you request it.
