#71 The Hats that Founders Wear (and When to Take One Off)

All of us have different things we're working on.

Aram, what's your current hat rack right now? Which hats are you wearing that you shouldn't, but you haven't let go of yet?

A hat that I shouldn't be wearing.

And that has been the case at different points in the past.

I'm a little bit more involved currently with some sales level items.

But I'm happy to be involved with them because...

I saw pros and cons.

We had an internal sales team for like the end of last year, part of this year.

A lot of things that went very well with that.

And I was going to just ramp that back up again.

And as I, and I, and I actually did do some interfering for it, but as I was like looking into it a little bit more, I was like, you know, what were the pros? What were the cons? And I, I thought, well, let me take a stab at it because it's been a while since I've been on the sales front, like a few years.

And I'm kind of happy to be back in that role right now because operationally, there's very little I have to do.

I think the system's run pretty well.

And so I think that would be a hat that people would say I shouldn't be doing.

But it's not like I'm taking time away from anything else to operate the business.

And I'm probably a little bit better at it than most salespeople we could bring on.

So that's new.

Like as the last month and a half, I've been a lot more involved on the sales front, but I'm not upset about it.

I'm kind of happy to do it.

So I have two

questions for that.

Do you have no other salespeople besides yourself right now?

Currently, yeah.

Yeah, we had four.

They were all part-time because it was a part-time situation, but there were four like regional salespeople last year that eventually became... like one and a half for the first part of this year.
