#68 Greg & Hannah Holden: Building Clarity Interpreting While Building a Marriage

So something that I'm wondering about right here at this origin of starting a company together, when I became self-employed, I was fired.

I kind of knew I was going to be fired for about almost a year.

So it was kind of on the horizon.

I knew it was going to happen.

And we already decided we're going to stay in the industry.

But it was, you know, Beverly is a, my wife is an incredible, she just knows how to like get things done and make things happen.

So she was able to be a really, really good number two as I was getting things launched.

But it was still like largely my company.

Like Beverly wasn't doing a ton with LexClean necessarily out of the gate.

So I'm curious, like, as you guys were starting, I understand the necessity, right? It's like, we're going to get off of, like, we're not going to drive a cab for the next 20 years.

Like, we do have to, like, move on to something else.

But was there something that the two of you did early on when you sat down to make sure it was, like, a we project rather than just Greg's going to run everything and...

Hannah, hopefully just like, you know, you can keep up or run alongside.

But was it actually from the beginning? Yeah, the two of us are doing this thing together in the same boat.

Did that kind of work itself into the equation naturally after some time? What did that look like, you know, starting

out? Yeah, well, I mean, some of it was just natural because she was interpreting.

You know, I couldn't interpret.

That was her thing she was interpreting.

And so it just, by default, we had our roles already in the business.

But I remember, like, it was a partnership.

I found the other day the paper where we were trying to write the name.

Like, what's it going to be called? And we had all these different names of what we were going to do.

And so, you know, we did.

It was in our living room, and we just talked about it.

And it was definitely a... cooperative project.
