ICD-10-CM 2027 Update

So when I review these annual updates, I actually look at the entire process.

The provider documents the condition.

Someone then selects the diagnosis.

Hopefully it's a certified coder or at least a coder is familiar with how to do that.

And then that selection usually travels onto the claim and hopefully gets the right choice, the right digits, the right information.

So there's also sometimes a saved or favored or familiar code that can remove or move, sorry, through the process pretty quickly.

And I just want to make sure you've updated those as well.

So this is a good time to just make sure that your coding instructions, your current information on coding, and then what you've downloaded the last time 30 days is appropriate.

So here are some coding changes that I would bring to your team's attention.
