[whoosh] I don't know about y'all, but I absolutely love when business owners share a little behind the scenes of their business and their reasons for the decisions that they make.

I think it gives us a little more insight to understanding those decisions because so many business owners do things, and we see from the outside why they're doing things, and we might try to replicate them, which I don't, I don't necessarily tell my clients to do.

But when we see those decisions and we get an understanding through a behind-the-scenes episode, it makes everything make more sense.

I know that for years people have questioned why I don't just keep the course active or live when it would be so easy to just flip the switch on, run ads to it, and make money.

But the truth is, I launched Podcast Launch Kit back in twenty twenty-one, and I had it open for enrollment for, like, two years, relaunched it again in twenty twenty-three, and I'll be honest, I even attempted to relaunch it a couple of times over the last two years through pre-sales with the intent that if I email my list about this, people will buy the pre-sale.

So [laughs] I would not plan far enough ahead, and if I didn't get any traction after one email, I would just quit and be like, "Eh, I don't wanna do this anymore." Like, if there's not interest, I don't wanna force people to be interested.

Why didn't I just make it and then sell it like I'm doing now? Because that's exactly what I'm doing.

The reality is, I was really focused on building my service-based business, and I did not prioritize any of the content of Podcast Launch Kit over the last five years.

I also wasn't all that comfortable on video, and that is something that I have been working so hard on over the last five years.

Plus, I felt like the tools and the programs that I was recommending back then were really hard to follow if you did not have experience editing.

But with new tools entering the market, it gives me more opportunity to create a course that a brand-new, fresh beginner could do without having to learn way too much.

Anyway, the more that I kept thinking about all of these things, the more that kept changing, and it was changing so fast that I genuinely just could not keep up with it while being in my first few years as a full-time entrepreneur.

It did not make sense for me to sell something that did not reflect what I actually thought about podcasting.

So I made the decision to not sell a course like that because I knew that it wasn't at its best.

So this means for the last few years, I have not actually had a real DIY resource that I could point new podcasters towards.

We have had shop products over the years, but no all-inclusive course to help them with since I closed the doors to this course.

It's not an actual podcast launch, and I make that very clear in the sales copy and the promotion of it.

But the only other way besides that planning challenge was to work one-on-one with me.

But some podcasters are not ready for that type of investment when they're not even sure if a podcast is the right fit for them.
