S2:E7 Encouragement for the Mission

Yeah, I think it was Roger Chambers who was one of my professors in Bible college that said more resignation letters have been written on Monday than any other day of the week for preachers.

Yeah, I think we've all been there.

We've all

felt as if, am I the last man standing? Am I the only one in this church that cares about growth and expansion and vision? And by the way, Satan would love nothing more than to fuel that mentality.

He gets the biggest kick When preachers internalize and play the woe is me game.

And man, Elijah had it down.

I mean, he should have gotten an Academy Award for this because, you know, he really did feel he was abandoned by God.

And what did he do? He ran, number one, which is what Satan wants us to do, run for my responsibility.

Okay.

Number two, hide.

And again, as I mentioned, we mentioned at last episode, mold grows best in dark places when it's isolated.

So does anger.

So does fear.

So does frustration.

So he's hiding.

And then he begins to question the sovereignty of God, God's power.

And that's exactly what St.

Loves does to do, you know, question God's ability to bring victory.

And as you said, God said, God, You've never been more wrong in all your life, my friend.

There are thousands, 7,000 exactly that are still out there fighting, not hiding like you, fighting for me.

Jim, I have a friend, and every once in a while, he'll remind a group of us, it's Monday, don't quit.

And what a great lesson we need.

For years, Monday was my day off.

And what I found is that most Mondays I ended up with a near migraine headache.

Yeah.
