What happens when you can’t find the books you want your kids to read? You create your own! ☕📚 In this episode of *Christian Moms Café*, I’m chatting with Shemeca Cooper, founder of Cooper Legacy…
You have taught them so many valuable lessons through, through this.
Like, they are entrepreneurs that learn how to outsource and hire people that they can work with, but they also learned the importance of outsourcing, that we don't have all of the, the skills intended to create or to finish a product.
Sometimes we have to bring other people on board to help, um, establish our own dream.
So that is a valuable lesson in business.
I love that you, um, just gave them the opportunity to flourish in this way.
And what would you say are, uh, some of the things that you saw come out, uh, to the surface in your kids that maybe they didn't realize they had a gift or a talent with?
Mm.
Yeah.
And really watch them kind of flourish in that, like being decisive and saying, "Okay, this is it.
This is who we're gonna go with," or, "No, we need you to change this." Because even when we chose the, the illustrators and they would send us the pro- you know, like the product, the mock-ups, my children were like, "Uh, no, I don't like the way that looks."
Right.
Speak, speak up for themselves and decide what they want, and then just make that executive decision.
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah.
Wow, that's amazing.
I know there's moms listening right now who are thinking, "Yeah, that's, that's something that we want to do in our home," but like, there's so many different aspects of, um, teaching business, and that's one, is definitely leadership, and that comes out in, you know, in that, that process of allowing our kids not only to use their gifts and talents, but outsourcing other people, and then figuring out what they want and making that decision.
So I think that's commendable.
