Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed." I want you to adopt that as your new mindset.

Just wake up every morning and start saying to yourself, "Lord, I commit my actions to you.

My plans will succeed because you are the one giving me the right thing to do.

It is now you giving me the right guidance." And I assure you that as you follow, as you humbly follow the guidance that you are receiving to do what you know you should do to lose this weight, then you're gonna start stepping into the right plan, and you're gonna notice who you used to be slowly falling away, and you're gonna stop trusting that version, that voice in you, that voice in your mind that keeps telling you, "Oh, you deserve it.

Just go weigh yourself again." Allow that number on the scale to master you, and to cause you to think and feel a certain way.

Now, I want you to see there's an invitation here for you that if you just commit your actions to the Lord, that your plans will succeed.

I kept committing [clears throat] my actions to the lord of my life, and the lord of my life at that time was weight loss.

If that number said I gained an ounce, or I didn't lose the number of pounds I thought I would because I was getting older and things were happening, that would master me.

But when you commit your actions to the Lord, an exchange happens where you are saying to Him, "Lord, I don't, I don't walk by sight anymore.

I am gonna give you everything." That's what it looks like to operate in such a way where you are applying the fullness of James 4:17 and Romans 12:2 to your entire physical life, to your entire mental and emotional life.

And you are saying, "Not my will be done, but yours." And let me tell you, when you crucify your flesh in this way [clears throat] you're gonna have the outcome that you've been praying for.

But you've just not known how to do it, because you've been stuck making your own plans, committing your actions to weight loss.

And the scripture is saying, "Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed." So I wanna help you to unpack how to be encouraged by trusting God, and what it looks like to trust Him, because, uh, e- I don't know.
