Christ Church Cambridge Sunday sermon
David ToddHost
Do you like talking about people behind their backs? I've been doing quite a bit of it recently.

I asked someone from, thank you very much, I asked someone who was on one of our summer camps, a lot of our young people went on, tell me some of the highlights.

And straight away, they said to me, the talk that Ruby, one of our church family here is involved with our youth group, the talk that Ruby gave was exceptional.

Do you know the leaders that go on it, they take a week's holiday and use it on the camp.

And then people like Ruby and others give other time to prepare talks and other things for young people.

Or another conversation I had, a family I know here have gone through some hard things and told me about a single man in his 20s in our church who got in contact to say, I've heard things are tough, can I cook a meal for you? Do you know the absolute miracle of that? A 20-year-old man who knows how to cook a meal that is worth sharing with other people.

It's amazing, isn't it? And then you think neither of them were looking for attention.

And you see as you come to the start of this letter that people have been talking about the Colossians.

Verse 4, we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love you have for all God's people.
