Um, I would say that, like, looking back on my experience, uh, long story short, my mom actually used to go to, um, Dr. Shah, who practice shares with Dr. Jeff, so I had seen the inside of a clinic before, so that kind of image was already in my mind, and I kind of knew what I liked and what I didn't like from that.
Um, but I hadn't really started shadowing clinics until, Dr. Jeff, one day I come to one of your Big Fish seminars, like, was that T4 or T5, I want to say?
T4, T5, um, maybe even as early as T3.
I can't quite remember in my mind anymore.
But, um, what became of that was I shadowed a couple of clinics that I can't even remember the names of anymore, and it was just kind of an instant like, "Well, that's not what I want." But when I met Dr.
Jeff, uh, at the Big Fish rally, um, a big thing that came of it was it kind of became almost like a quick speed dating thing.
It was like, here's all these other clinics that are in the same sort of realm of practice that we are here.
They have kind of the same belief system.
Um, and so it kind of became like a quick speed date thing where it was just kind of like, if you want to shadow this clinic, go talk to this guy.
If you want to shadow this clinic, go to this guy.
But long story short, I kind of already knew what I wanted, and luckily I was able to, um, end up interning at Dr. Jeff's clinic.
Um, so I guess my biggest advice to interns is go with your gut, and if you know what you like, try and just, like, stick to it and find that clinic.
Don't, don't try and like be like, "Well, I should diversify stuff." It's like, no, get the experience that you're after.
So I would just add to, uh, Dr. Brian, I feel like, I think he said everything right.
Um, f- for me, it was more like I needed, I needed someone who I could follow, right? And so if I saw the chiropractor...
I mean, there was a chiropractor that I shadowed that was like, like down the street from Justin, and they wore white jackets, you know? And they wore white jackets, they had 15 minutes appointments, and I knew that's not what I wanted.
Um, you know, and when I came to visit Dr. Justin's office, I didn't even know if he would take me because he had never met me.
He didn't even know how I show up, how I found him.
And so then he was like, "If you really like it here, why don't you come back again, and then, uh, if you, you can make a decision then, right?" And then the second time I showed up, he's like, "Don't ever wear a tie and suit ever again." [laughs]
Then I knew I was, I was in the right spot.
Yeah.
