Again not a whole lot to talk about in the report today however there are three "aquatic" species that I will be talking about today.
So the biggest problem is that, you know, you still can't get on Hatteras Island, and it is just really tough time for those folks down there.
I'm not even going to mention here because that's all they are, is second- and third-hand information about when they might have the highway opened again again.
And when can you get across the bar? As far as our charter boats, they got to get across the bars at both Hatteras, but especially Oregon Inlet.
Even though you can get to the marinas at Oregon Inlet, including the Fishing Center and Pirate's Cove and Wanchese Marina and all of those places, you know, Safe Harbor, all of them, it doesn't do them any good if they can't get out across the bar.
And I just feel like we're looking at a couple more days before anybody even sticks their nose out there to look.
The piers is so rough that you can't, most of them don't have anybody fishing or they're closed.
But if you get down on the south side of Hatteras, south end of Hatteras Island, which you can't get down there.
But for the locals and the people that are there already, there are a few drum to be caught on the south beaches.
Luckily for them, the beach turns away there at Cape Point and runs into the southwest and west.
Not a lot of them and not a lot of fishermen, but that's aquatic species number one.
