Capt. Marty's Outer Banks Fishing Report & Stories
Oct 12, 2026 · 7 min · 8 segments
Fishing over the weekend was interesting to say the least. Some spots were hot - some spots were not! I'll explain in this report!
So we got through a blustery weekend, and for us, there was nothing more than that.
We didn't have to deal with the stuff like the people on the Gulf Coast did, thankfully.
And so we lost all of our offshore fishing, nearshore fishing equipment, Nothing to report.
We had yellowfin tuna and blackfin tuna, more blackfins and hatteras, more yellowfins at Oregon Inlet.
The bill fishing seems to be over for good now, with the exception of a stray here or there.
And then those big blue fins will start showing up There's a whole winter industry that has built up around those.
So most of our report, the part about what is, is going to be surf, mostly surf, a little bit on the piers, and, of course, the drum bite.
