A check point for negative and self-destructive talk and behaviors
And so today, I would like to speak into checking for self-destructive talk and behaviors, something that a lot of us do to ourselves, and it's very destructive, right? Just thinking the thought that, I can't do that.
Some of the more harmful ways of not loving yourself are connected to your sexual integrity issues for men and women who are working through this process.
And that is my specialty that I work on as I am a clinical professional counselor.
And so as you are working through this process with your sexual integrity issues, there are new ways, new things that you have to learn, new behaviors.
But if you continue the old patterns of that self-abusive talk, it doesn't make matters any better.
The work you do to acquire a change of heart will require patience and alternative solutions, considering what it might look like to do differently from what is known and familiar to you.
1 Corinthians 16, 13, and 14 says, be on guard, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong, and do everything with love.
But radical love is a major shift from it's all about me to everything you do must be done with a spirit of love and humility.
It's being purposeful about what you do with your life and energy, and it requires an intention to choose to move away from destructive habits and lifestyles that are hurtful to yourself and to others.
I have another acronym for you as a self-check and a deliberate shift in your thinking and behavior to a conscious state of mind.
So pay attention and see if there is any self-destructive talk or behaviors that you connect with in this acronym.
