**What happens when the person who teaches authenticity loses her own voice? And what did her body do that finally made her stop and listen?** In this return episode, she opens up about what that…
And for those of you who followed me for a while, I This podcast has had multiple iterations.
I started sharing little snippets of what I thought would be helpful for people who are pursuing conventional oncology treatments, how to get better outcomes with whatever they were doing.
And then in 2022, it evolved into me sharing my story of leaving Western medicine and then bringing you along on the journey of what was I learning? What should I have been taught in medical school? And bringing on guests to teach you those things that I really think should be part of standard medical curriculum or information that most of us have not been taught that are really important to health, like nutrition, like water, like detoxification, and so many other things that we've talked about on this podcast.
But What actually ended up forcing me into stepping away from the podcast for a little bit was that in March or so, I think, of 2026, I had hired some consultants for my podcast and they were like, you have to niche down, you have to like niche and you have to be very specific.
And if you do fasting, which is the thing that I have been doing the most of recently in my career, although I've done many things recently.
They said, you know, you really have to niche down and, you know, speaking to people who are interested in fasting from a cancer perspective.
And anyway, as that happened, I became less and less interested in recording for the podcast and eventually, like, literally could not pick up the microphone to record because I felt so blocked.
What I have learned through this, which is so interesting because one of the main things that I teach you here is about authenticity and the importance of finding your authentic voice, your authentic path in life.
And here I am demonstrating, and I guess maybe that's the point, is the point is that I am just like you, that I am finding my way in the world just like you.
And I had... you know, experts come along and tell me something that I thought I needed to listen to.
And what I learned through all of this was that I need to keep listening to myself and that this podcast is not just about cancer.
It is... about my journey of learning what I am learning and bringing you along on the ride and bringing you along to teach you the things that I really think that you need to know in order to be well.
And I think that is the point is I want to show you the things that I'm learning so that you can become well in a world where it's becoming increasingly hard to stay well.
So that is the lesson that I learned and I think it is so appropriate that I have to come on here and share it with you because I know that so many of you who listen to my podcast, you know, I have many people who are actually in the medical profession, but then many of you who are on your own healing journey and And you have people telling you what you should be doing and what is the right way.
And just like me, you too have to find your path that feels aligned and authentic for you.
The path of least resistance is just following the protocols and just being like everyone who has what you name it, you know, her to new positive breast cancer with this many lymph nodes or whatever it is that they've put you in this category that you must do this.
And I truly believe that that is not true, that we are each unique individuals and each one of us needs something different in our healing.
And so maybe you need to hear this today because you are feeling pushed back into a corner about your treatments or your path or you're a physician and you're feeling trapped with what you're being told that you need to do as a your work.
And I think that each one of us confront this differently at different stages in our life.
And my goal is to always show up in a way that is authentic, showing you that this path is not straightforward, that it is messy at times, that it can be confusing, and it can take a With this next season, I'm just going to say, although it's not like we're starting a new season at this point, but like in this next season of the podcast, my commitment to you is to continue to share authentically and that the things that I'm learning is kind of interesting.
