Episode 307 - Ahoy Azalea!

Welcome to the news.

The news is so good.

So there's really just a tiny bit of news.

We had patch 36.6.3.

So the dev comment is well met.

Overall, we think the current standard meta is in a healthy spot with a few outliers, namely Dragon Warrior and Attack Druid.

This patch aims to bring those decks more in line with the rest of the field as we head into Reign of the Black Empire.

We expect the arrival of the old gods to shake up the meta in a big way, so we're taking a measured approach with this patch.

We'll be keeping a close eye on how things develop after launch.

So there were two nerfs, both to pretty exclusively standard cards.

Yeah.

The first one was to Winspeak Worm, which is an 8-mana 6-6 that deals 5 damage to a thing.

You get to choose.

You get 5 armor.

It used to be kindred, if you played a dragon the previous turn.

Cost 3 less, and now it only costs 2.

Doesn't really impact us in wild.

Nope, it doesn't.

The other is Infest the Scullery, which is the druid card that starts, well, used to start at three cost minions.

Now it starts at two.

And every time you attack, it goes up and up and up.

So you can make it four, five, six, seven, eight, et cetera.

So they just slowed that one down.

Yep.

It just starts at two before it becomes more than two.
