China Won? American Living In China 2026

A couple other things and we'll wrap this bad boy up, but who's like their pop stars and they have a whole different community of famous people, Instagram influencers and so forth that is totally not global at all? Or what is their story? Sorry, I didn't mean to

cut you off.

i'm

just asking do they have their own little community famous mega famous people that are not like known the rest of the world or are they still looking at the american musicians and um you know you said they're playing their music and so forth but do they not have their own subsect of massively famous people

they do they do and but like not that famous that's my point the biggest sport in china soccer right They didn't make the FIFA World Cup.

And the most famous soccer player, when they told me his name, I never heard of him.

Now, the guy from South Korea, Sun, I've heard of him.

You know what I mean? Like, usually there's always like one guy from someplace.

I'm not a huge, huge soccer fan.

I'm pretty bad with names as well.

But this guy wasn't like, he might be worldwide famous, but not like crazy, crazy.

He's not like a Neymar or he's not like a Cristiano Ronaldo.

not anything to that matter the second biggest sport is basketball so it's like you know the best players in the league a lot of them you know they came from the nba they're americans so they're huge in the basketball culture basketball's huge here might actually become number one sport if not so yeah they know Anthony Edwards that's like one of their stars here you know what I mean like if he was here everyone would know who that is you know so it's not besides Yao Ming there's not too much Yao Ming's their guy so when it comes to the most famous athlete in the world and or from China it would be Yao Ming they would all choose Yao Ming you know I mean there's not really a close second

Hey, there was a lot of talk about how Chinese TikTok or Chinese social media is super good and people that are famous play the violin and there's no slop and they push all the slop to the USA.

What is that? Do you feel like the degeneracy of Chinese culture and their little social media bubbles or is it actually not slop?

No, I went on WhatsApp just to look at, like, it popped up maybe the first few days I was here.

And you get the same BS that you get in the United States.

Like, what the hell are these videos and what's going on? It's the same, you know, it's the same thing.

There's not

really any of that.

You went on their TikTok, right? They have TikTok, don't they?

No, TikTok's banned here.

They had their version of TikTok.

I thought they owned

TikTok.
