In our two hundred and eighty-second episode, Aaron is joined by Scott. We talk about Thunder Road: Ignition, Reforest, Moon Colony…
So when Restoration contacted me and said, hey, we've got some new games coming out, including Thunder Road Ignition.
It's like a sort of more streamlined version of Thunder Road Vendetta.
Smaller box for sure.
See how big that box is? And the box that I've given you to keep.
Yep.
Different sizes.
Very much so.
But yeah, so Thunder Road ignition.
I was like, yeah, absolutely.
We're we're about to have summertime.
It's a great or I assumed it would be a great camping game to bring and like put on the picnic table.
It it takes up some space, but like a picnic table is going to be totally fine for it.
Right.
So I'm like, send it over.
And I put it in our camping bag with all the board games we were going to bring camping.
And then I canceled those two camping trips that we were supposed to go on.
So no, we did take it down to Pender Island when we went to vacation there like fancy people.
And it went over pretty well.
I will say pretty well.
The girls had never played Thunder Road versions before.
Benji had before, so he knew kind of the vibe.
I'll teach kind of like the whole game, I guess.
So essentially it's a racing game set in like a Mad Max post-apocalyptic world where you are driving cars with guns from point A to point B.
Right.
And unlike the original game, there's no conveyor belt style action to it.
