You were up here earlier this week, last weekend, and I can't get over the pace of these practices.
It's intense, but, you know, the thing that I notice is that the conventional wisdom of the new NFL, of, hey, these guys need breaks, you got to give them trackers, you got to give them this, versus...
Hey, if you get in shape, and this is from the athlete side of me, your body will respond, but you can't get in shape during camp to be able to go at this pace.
It's like, okay, you ran a quarter mile as a track star, and now you're training to be a half miler.
And that's what this off-season OTAs were all about because we heard from the players, several of them, how it was their toughest OTA.
There are no breaks where they stand around and eat watermelon slices or orange slices or, you know, water breaks.
They just go, they have a walkthrough and it's not even a walkthrough at the beginning of practice.
And then once practice starts, there are 10, 11, 12 periods, there's just no standing around.
And that's what I like about having someone like John Harbaugh, who's been there, who's created a template that is a winning template.
And he knows what it takes to compete at a high level in a very difficult situation.
