Buying Bitcoin gives you zero tax advantage. Mining it, done right, can cut your cost basis in half — and write off nearly every dollar along the way. Jordan sits down with Paul Palmer, Chief Revenue…
But to put that into context, it would be usually that would be like one container.
And if you visualize a shipping container, we've all seen shipping containers, you know, but this would be a specialized shipping container with, you know, shelves built, electrical infrastructure to hold the computers.
And one of those containers, a megawatt, depending on the type of equipment you get is probably going to be somewhere around 300, 350 machines, you know, computers that are running in a single shipping container.
And, you know, there's a lot of different styles of containers, modular data centers, people are converting buildings.
And then you'll see, like, you know, we'll do this on a gas site where there'll be a small gas well.
So we'll come in and put in a, modular data center with a generator and, you know, convert that to electricity.
I know you say like on a large scale, like 40 megawatts, what you'll see are maybe some larger containers.
They may hold two megawatts worth of equipment, which may be around 600 or so machines.
And usually those are connected to grid power, where we're helping that grid to balance their power loads and take some of that stranded energy.
